You’ve now decided you are moving to Paris, but where would you like to live? Paris is not as big as London, that’s for sure but each area (arrondissement) is different from one another.

LB-RB will help you with that and will make a series of articles in its blog to explain the specificities of each areas.

History

Situated Right Bank, and benefiting from wide avenues and stunning period buildings, the 16th arrondissement has long been known as one of French high society’s favourite places of residence.

The 16th offers a variety of parks, Museums and very good schools (State, Catholic and some International). The Bois de Boulogne is also located in this arrondissement, which is the only nice open space comparable to Hyde Park. People go there to jog, cycle, walk around the beautiful lakes. Leadings sports clubs (horse riding, tennis, shooting etc…) are located there.

London equivalent

The 16th would historically be compared to Chelsea and its inhabitants would have been Sloane Rangers.

Who lives there?

French and International Families. The North side of the 16th should be preferred to the South side.

What type of property?

The 16th is the perfect place for large apartments, nice entertaining space, loads of bedrooms and bathrooms. You can certainly find a place with a Wow factor here!
