You’ve now decided you are moving to Paris, but where would you like to live? Paris is not as big as London, that’s for sure but each area (arrondissement) is different from one another.

LB-RB will help you with that and will make a series of articles in its blog to explain the specificities of each areas.

History

Neuilly-sur-Seine is a French commune just West of Paris, in the department of Hauts-de-Seine. A suburb of Paris, Neuilly is immediately adjacent to the city and directly extends it. The area is composed of mostly wealthy, select residential neighbourhoods, and many corporate headquarters are located there.

Neuilly is located a stone’s throw away from La Defense business district, which makes it a very attractive place of residence. It is a calm neighbourhood, where people tend to be rather courteous.

Neuilly also offers some of the best State schools, Catholic Schools and some International schools. The American Hospital of Paris is located there.

London equivalent

Neuilly could be compared to Fulham, if we could imagine that Canary Wharf was located next to it!

Who lives there?

French and some International Families.

What type of property?

Neuilly sur Seine offers less period buildings but loads of residences from the 60’s (not in a bad way). People who are keen on outside space should consider going there as it is one of the only areas where you can find large balconies, terraces or even gardens! Also Neuilly borders the Bois de Boulogne which offers outdoor activities.
